Cardenden Hare & Hounds: no easy laps

Kingdom Off Road Motorcycle Club hosted the Scottish Hare & Hounds Championship Round 2 at Cardenden in Fife on 7 June 2026. The race linked sections of the motocross circuit with adjoining off-road terrain to create a longer course, giving riders changing lines and a combination of track and more natural ground to negotiate.

Over two and a half hours, riders faced deepening ruts and changing grip. A line that worked early in the race could become more difficult as motorcycles passed through, making rhythm, judgement and pacing essential. BRAAP's film brings together aerial views of the course, onboard perspectives and trackside footage to show how the event developed.

Cardenden 2026 Expert results

Andrew Bisset won the Expert class and was the only rider to complete 12 laps. Connor Paton finished second, with Joe Drysdale third, according to the Scottish Motorcycle Enduros race report. The complete classifications across the event's classes are available through the official results link above.

A Scottish Hare & Hounds at a motocross venue

Although Cardenden is known for its motocross track, Hare & Hounds racing uses a longer marked loop and rewards maintaining a consistent pace over an extended period. Unlike a traditional Time Card Enduro, riders compete on repeated laps, with course conditions evolving as the field circulates. For anyone interested in how this type of event works, BRAAP has a separate Hare & Hounds guide.
