15 Years Riding Trials: Ashleigh Davison’s Story

Ashleigh Davison reflects on 15 years of riding trials and what keeps people involved in the sport for the long term.

Fifteen years in any motorcycle discipline builds a lot of experience. For Ashleigh Davison, trials has remained part of life through years of riding, learning and being around the sport.

Why riders stay with trials

Trials is a discipline where progression never really stops. A rider can always work on balance, line choice, grip and bike control, whether they are new to the sport or have been riding for years.

A sport built around skill

Because trials is not simply about outright speed, riders can keep challenging themselves in different ways as their experience grows. The difficulty comes from the terrain and the precision needed to ride each section cleanly.

Showing more of the people behind the sport

BRAAP Scotland is building a wider picture of Scottish off-road motorcycling through rider stories as well as event coverage. That includes the people who have stayed involved for years and can explain what keeps bringing them back.

In this Short, Ashleigh talks about 15 years of riding trials.
