The experience in our videos may look exciting, but the activities available to book vary: some are countryside-based, while others take place at dedicated off-road venues. BRAAP can help you ask the right questions and find the sort of experience you actually imagined.
An adventure they'll remember
Looking for an unusual birthday present, a Christmas surprise or something special for a bike-loving partner, parent or older child? You don't need to know the difference between Enduro and motocross to start looking. Tell us a little about the person and the kind of adventure you have in mind. Before buying, confirm age requirements, availability, what's included and whether the provider offers gift vouchers.
Saw something in a BRAAP film?
If a video made you think of someone, tell us what caught your eye. Was it riding through the hills, forest tracks or simply trying an off-road motorcycle for the first time? We can try to point you towards a provider offering something suitable.
What sort of experience are you imagining?
A first taste of off-road riding: For someone who has never tried it, a supervised beginner-friendly experience at a dedicated venue may be the best introduction.
A proper muddy adventure: For someone who rides already, an Enduro-style day with varied terrain might be closer to what they saw in a BRAAP film.
Hills, forests and scenery: If countryside riding is the attraction, say so clearly. Not every provider offers that kind of experience, and rural routes must have appropriate permission.
What does the experience include?
That depends on the provider. Some sessions supply bikes and protective equipment; others expect you to arrive with your own. Always confirm this before making a booking or purchasing a gift.
What if they've never ridden before?
Often, yes, if the provider offers an appropriate introductory session. But a beginner lesson and a full day of technical Enduro riding are very different experiences. Be clear about the recipient's experience when enquiring.
An adventure with the right provider
Off-road motorcycles cannot simply be ridden on any hillside, forestry road or open countryside in Scotland. Choose an established provider with suitable permission to use its riding venue or route.
