FIRST EVENT GUIDE

WHAT SHOULD YOU TAKE TO YOUR FIRST ENDURO EVENT?

A practical checklist for bike preparation, paperwork, riding kit, fuel, tools, food and Scottish weather — so your first event starts with less stress.

THE MAIN THING

Read the final instructions

Event requirements can change. Arrival times, signing-on, race numbers, fuel arrangements and licence checks should always come from the organiser's current information.

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Paperwork & event information

Make sure your entry is confirmed and check any licence, club, signing-on and race-number requirements.

Read the final instructions properly. Arrival times, machine examination, start procedures and fuel arrangements can vary between events.

Do not rely on what happened at the previous round.

PREP THE BIKE

Bike, fuel & tools

Check tyres, brakes, chain adjustment, sprockets, wheel bearings, controls and fluid levels before you travel.

Take enough fuel for the event plus a sensible margin, and follow the organiser's instructions for refuelling.

Basic tools and useful spares can save a day — but you do not need to bring an entire workshop.
